This is a nice little museum. Its well worth a visit. Fun things for kids and adults. The oldest ham was amazing.
This is a great little museum located in an old building on Main street and is home to the world's largest ham and several other interesting pieces on Smithfield and its connections to the meet processing industry. There was only one staff member on the day that I went, but she was very friendly and was a wealth of knowledge on the area. I highly recommend stopping in if you happen to be in town. For the two dollar price of admission you can't beat it.
Fun engaging Museum. Good for all ages. The displays are clever and attractive. The curator is on hand to answer all questions. This is a good place to bring children too! Lots of stuff for them to touch and interact with. The gift shop is small, but you can find something to remind you of your visit here.
Great small, quaint museum. Fun facts, artifacts, and interesting history of Smithfield and surrounding areas. Very well laid out and done with utmost respect to past residents. Great afternoon.
Small but reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly. The museum is well worth a stop. It's a small town museum but very educational, especially for anyone in the county. The gift shop had very fair prices and the museum had items that kids could touch and interact with. The whole place took about 30-40 minutes to go through at a good pace.
